As I sat in the break room looking into my empty coffee cup, I heard the music in the lecture room start. That was Vicky’s way of letting the audience know that the break was over. I think this time, since it was louder than usual, she was letting me know that it was time.
I went through the side door of the break room that led directly to the front of the lecture room. The audience had returned and yes the volume of the music was for me. They applauded.
Before I move on, I want everyone in this room to know that The HOPE Protocol is not a diet. It is not a weight loss program. It is a health optimization program. It just happens that your weight is the easiest measure of your health. It’s not the only measure. In fact, research shows that our waist measurement is a better indicator of our health.
For example, I could have two men standing upon this stage. One is me 15 years ago with a 48 inch waist measurement at my belly button and the one today with a 36 inch waist measurement at my belly button. We both weighed the same. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat.
As I mentioned earlier, The HOPE Protocol has Three Phases. The first phase prepares you for the second phase. In the second phase, you will lose excess fat. It is very important that you lose excess fat to optimize your internal chemistry. And remember optimizing your health is all about your internal chemistry. It’s about how well your hormones are balanced, the food you eat, and how clean or nontoxic you are.
To lose the excess fat, you must prepare the body. It’s just like exercise. You cannot just walk outside and run a marathon. You must take baby steps until your body gets to the point that it can do such a feat. Has anyone in here ever ran a marathon?
One man raised his hand. I looked at him and realize it must have been a long time ago.
How long did it take to prepare your body? I asked.
That’s what I am talking about. Phase One is all about preparing your body. There are four components associated with Phase One. These four components must be done simultaneously.
The first component of phase one is balancing your sex hormones. What this means is that women need to balance their progesterone to estradiol ratio. Men need to balance their testosterone to estradiol ratio. If your sex hormones are not balanced, you gain weight, and no matter what you do, you will not be able to lose it. You will also suffer from sleeping disorders, anxiety, depression and loss of drives. And when we say drives we are not just talking about your sex drive, but your drives to have fun, to be successful, etc.
The second component of Phase One is decreasing the primary cause of hormonal disruption, inflammation. We place our clients on The Mac Anti-Inflammation Elimination Diet. We slowly and purposely eliminate the most inflammatory foods from your diet. Chronic diseases, like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, strokes, Alzheimer’s, obesity and hormonal disruption went pandemic when man manstardized God’s foods. That is why we call this component the Organic Lifestyle. We have you move away from man-made foods and toward God-made foods. The heart, mind and soul of The HOPE Protocol is moving you into a God-made food diet.
The third component of phase one is detoxing and defatting the liver. The liver is in charge of fat burning. It also converts and activates your hormones. If you liver is non optimum, your internal chemistry will be non-optimum. Our food and environment has become filled with pro-inflammatory toxins. These toxins enter our body through our food, air, and water and become trapped. The liver is the main organ that has to filter these toxins. We have to do our best to stop the upstream source of these toxins, purge the trapped toxins and heal the liver.
The fourth component of Phase One is education. You must know why you are doing what you are doing and how to determine what is working and what is not. I will be personally educating you. We call this component Electronic-Coaching. We have clients all over the country. We deliver The HOPE Protocol through electronic methods. There are three ways that we educate, encourage and edify you within this component. The first is through weekly one on one coaching sessions done over the phone. Every week we will be in direct conversation with you, to either educate, encourage or edify you. After our conversation, we will email you your customized instructions for the following week. Lastly, you can text us your statistics and ask any questions you may have 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
During the first phase, we are going to teach you everything we did to balance our sex hormones naturally and how it can be done without synthetic prescriptions. We are also going to systematically teach you the foods, food by food, that you will need to eliminate from your diet to decrease chronic inflammation. We are also going to explain how we detoxified and optimized our livers. Lastly, we found that we needed a coach and that is what we will be for you. Every succesful athlete, CEO, or student has a coach, a teacher, to guide them. There is no way that you can climb Mount Everest without a sherpa. We are your sherpas. To some of you. the climb is going to feel like you are climbing Mount Everest. You must have a passion to be the best you can be before you will have the motivation. We have beat around this bush for too long. In the next lecture we will begin the first component of Phase One. We will teach you what we did to naturally balanced our Sex Hormones.
